3G celebrates Seafood Fortnight with new product launches and special offers

We will be celebrating Seafood Fortnight (5th – 21st September) with a series of special offers, promotions and recipe ideas for its customers. This year’s Seafood Fortnight is also set to coincide with the release of our new Seafood Solutions Product Guide, which will be packed full of new, sustainably farmed species, innovative frozen products and premium chilled fish and seafood.
“Seafood Fortnight is an important time of the year for us, and as we’re extremely passionate about fish and seafood we see it as a great opportunity to highlight the many benefits that these wonderful products – and our expertise – can bring to catering businesses”, said Phil Coyne, Business Development Manager for 3G Food Service & Seafood Solutions. “This year we will be running a series of special offers and promotions on a wide range of our products, to encourage caterers to use fish and seafood more regularly in their menus and dishes. These include special offers on popular frozen products such as scampi, langoustines and Phillips King Crab Meat, and a range of introductory promotions on some of our new chilled fish products.”

Phil Continues: “Events such as Seafood Fortnight also make people more aware than ever about the issues facing fishing – so we will also be encouraging caterers to sample our wide range of sustainable species of fish too. These include our MSC Certified Line Caught Mackerel from the UK’s Cornish Fishing Fleet, Pollock from the South Coast and Red Tilapia, which is sustainably farmed in Jamaica.”
“In addition, we will be launching our new 3G Seafood Solutions Product Guide at the beginning of September, which will be full of exciting, new products”, said Phil. “These products include premium Smoked Salmon from Bleiker’s Smokehouse, which is the smokehouse of choice for celebrity chefs including Rick Stein and Jamie Oliver. We are also launching several new frozen King prawn products, which will work well on all types of menus. Our experienced customer service team will be on hand to provide advice and recipe suggestions throughout the fortnight, and I urge caterers to get in touch so they can maximize sales from this event!”
The new premium Smoked Salmon products range from traditional Smoked Salmon supplied in several different preparation options, to more innovative varieties including Apple Wood Smoked Romanov Salmon, Traditional Gravadlax and Malt Whisky Cask Smoked Scottish Salmon.
The new King Prawn products include Jumbo Battered King Prawns (16g) and Garlic & Herb Marinated Butterfly King Prawns (17g). These products are ideal for use in a starter, main course dish or as a buffet option.
